Köksal Education Foundation (KEV) was established on 23.11.1992 by Mr. H. Güntekin KÖKSAL, Honorary President of Pet Holding, Pet Holding, with the aim of contributing to the completion of education by providing scholarships to successful students with limited means. It was founded by H. Güntekin KÖKSAL. Ayşe Köksal Çetin, the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pet Holding, also took part in the Founders’ Board
Since its foundation, KEV has provided scholarships and free books to hundreds of students. It has also provided social assistance to many students. For the first 22 years of its establishment, the Foundation provided scholarships on a reciprocal basis and was sustained by the contributions of Pet Holding, its volunteers and the repayments of graduating scholarship students.
After Zeynep Köksal Yaykıran took over the chairmanship of the Board of Directors from Pınar Köksal in 2016, KEV started to provide non-refundable scholarships to university students. From the day it was founded to the present day, among its graduates have been engineers, lawyers, administrators, judges, doctors and business people; KEV graduates have worked and are working in different and successful jobs, companies and positions in Turkey and around the world.
KEV’s Achievements in 30 Years
- For 30 years, KEV has provided and continues to provide scholarships to more than 1000 university students studying in different fields with the support of the Köksal Family, Pet Holding and its subsidiaries and thousands of donors.
- With the “Student Parent Program” we launched in 2016, we provided educational scholarships for nearly 50 university students with individual donations.
- Since 2016, we have encouraged our students to go abroad with the Erasmus program to gain experience abroad and we have supported nearly 20 of our students with a 200 Euro scholarship during their Erasmus education abroad.
- In 30 years, we have provided books and various aids to 1000s of students.
- Since 2016, we have contributed to the education of 35 students by providing English Education Scholarships
- Since 2016, we have provided more than 1000 tickets to various events to not only support our students financially but also to contribute to their cultural and artistic development.
- In order to contribute to the development of our students, we organize at least 2 training seminars on different topics every year at our foundation.
- Since 2019, we have met with our graduates at our traditional “Graduation Tea” events, listened to their goals and talked about how we can support them.
- We have supported both artists and students by organizing more than 50 exhibitions and concerts at our foundation headquarters for 30 years.
- We built 4 school libraries by organizing book campaigns with the support of KEV friends.
- Since 2018, in the charity races we have participated in as KEV, 150 volunteer athletes have opened campaigns for the benefit of the students of our foundation and provided educational scholarships to our students with the support of more than 5000 donors.
- In the 2023-2024 academic year, KEV has 170 scholarship students. KEV scholarship is 2000TL per month. In addition to this scholarship, designated students are provided with English Language Education scholarships and tickets to a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.
